ABOUT ME

My name is Sydney Bloch and I am a junior at Reedy High School and a participant in the Independent Study and Mentorship program.  This year, I have chosen to study criminal law in order to expand my knowledge about the different aspects of trial work.

My mission in ISM is to exhibit professionalism, dedication, and trustworthiness, as well as inspire and empower those around me.  I want to do everything within my power to achieve any goal I set my mind to by epitomizing a conscientious, honorable student, giving 100 percent in everything I do, and possessing the motivation to push myself into becoming a better student and person.  In regards to the law, I want to familiarize myself with the basics of criminal law to establish a solid foundation to build upon.

I became interested in criminal law at a young age and have participated in multiple Mock Trial programs to expose myself to the expectations and responsibilities of lawyers.  Through ISM, I hope to gain the knowledge necessary for determining whether criminal law is a suitable career choice for me.
